I have two favorite sources for clothes. One is at the nearest mall sixty miles away & the other is a mail order/online source. The difference is that the one at the mall has items that are well made & the sizing is consistent. (ie: I don’t have to try things on & it saves time – I just know that they’ll fit)

An unexpected trip came up so I needed a couple of new pieces so we went shopping. And to my delight the clerk showed me a postcard & said,

We now have online shopping & here’s a coupon for free shipping on your first order over $75.

So I had to check out Christopher & Bank’s new site. I find it interesting that I evaluate the effectiveness of user experience now.

I was favorably impressed! They are offering:

  • limit by size – I really hate when I see something I want only to find my size isn’t available
  • sort by color – great for specific purposes
  • And then you can sort them by price from Highest to Lowest or vice versa (like airline tickets). The default is Top Sellers which is a good idea to show the most popular.
  • wish list – this will be quite convenient too

So now I will be able to catch sales more often. (This store has awesome sales I just don’t get into the store often – but now it doesn’t matter!). Online shopping just got better for those of us that are geographically challenged!

What are your favorite online shopping options? Which ones do you wish were online?
